Fuh Fred's Biography
Fred Fuh Neba was born on July 8th, 1989, in Bamenda, Cameroon, into the family of Michael Neba Ajongwa and Magdaline Ngum Che as the first of 3 kids. Fred was a man of immense character and ambition. Growing up in a highly religious family, he was raised with a strong sense of family values and community. His childhood was shaped by the lessons passed down by his parents, who emphasized the importance of education, hard work, and resilience in the face of adversity. From a young age, he loved dancing and cracking jokes and these passions would become the foundation for his dreams.
Fred, attended nursery school at CNPS Ntamulung, Catholic School Alakuma, attended secondary school at Sacred Heart college Mankon, High School at St Bedes college Ashing Kom. He went further to the University of Buea where he studied and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in accounting. His determination to pursue something greater in life set him apart from his peers, and his vision was never confined to his immediate surroundings
In October of 2012, driven by a desire to seek better opportunities, Fred made the life-changing decision to migrate to South Korea. Recognizing the limitations in his home country, he hoped to find both personal and professional growth in the bustling, innovative environment of South Korea. He arrived in South Korea with little more than hope and a willingness to adapt to an entirely new culture. The years in Korea were not without their challenges.
Fred had to overcome and adapt to the distinct cultural practices of his new home. He faced periods of uncertainty, yet his resilience never wavered. Despite the hardships, Fred made significant strides in his professional life. In 2022, he launched a clothing Brand “Bro We do How”, where he expressed his challenges and views of life. This brand became a household name not only within the Cameroonian community based in South Korea, but also amongst other African nationals.
His involvement in community activities and cultural activities made lasting connections with the Cameroon community in Korea where he also served as a Disc Jockey popularly known as DJ Bro. He became a source of inspiration to others who, like him, had left their homeland in search of a better future. Fred’s life was characterized by his deep love for his family and friends, his gratitude for the opportunities he received, and his relentless pursuit of self-improvement.
He was a man who believed in the power of perseverance, and his personal journey exemplified this philosophy. While far from home, he maintained strong connections with his family and was known for his generosity, support, and kindness.
Sadly, our “DJ Bro” suddenly passed away on October 23, 2024, at the age of 35. His death has left a profound impact on all who knew him. He leaves behind a wife, 2 kids, his mum and dad, 2 siblings and lots of family and friends to mourn him. While Fred Fuh Neba is no longer with us, his aspirations and dreams live on in the hearts of those who loved him. His life was a reminder that even in the face of great uncertainty, it is possible to overcome adversity and build a life of meaning and purpose. He will always remain in our hearts. “Bro We Do How”? Rest in Peace. “Life is a journey, and no matter where you begin, it’s the courage to keep going that defines you.
